About Ardra Nakshatra
Ardra is the sixth Nakshatra in the Hindu lunar mansion. We know the meaning of lunar mansion by now. When the Moon and Earth face each other at different angles from one specific place on Earth due to motion in orbits, the Moon takes different shapes and thus each one of the 28 shapes represents a constellation or Nakshatra. The first five have already been discussed and now, we will move to the sixth Nakshatra for a better understanding of each Nakshatra for each one of us.
Being the sixth Nakshatra of the 28 Nakshatras, Ardra Nakshatra constitutes all the stars of Orion as in Mrigshira Nakshatra but adds one more star named Betelgeuse.
Representing hate, anger, and destruction, Ardra Nakshatra represents the dark and borderline negative side of the personality.
Ardra Nakshatra is a representation of negativity, darkness, and misery and thus the symbol also looks like a teardrop. However, some people argue that it is not a teardrop but a diamond as the most shining stone comes from the most black and most deadly coal mines. So from the dark clouds of negativity, the symbol of the diamond represents the hope of positivity and happiness. Some others still feel that the symbol looks like the head of a human being and it is a representation of how the human mind thinks and reacts to situations.
