About Krittika Nakshatra
Being the third Nakshatra in the lunar mansion, Krittika Nakshatra is considered to be bold and naive both at the same time because Krittika Nakshatra is filled with feminine energies of care, and courage both at the same time. We have already discussed that when the Moon is at a different angle every day, it creates a new location and new shape of the Moon and thus that creates a new lunar mansion every day. The cycle is repeated every 28 days and thus there are 28 Nakshatras and Krittika is the third Nakshatra amongst them.
In Sanskrit, the word Krittika means Kartika or a cluster of open stars or something that is shining, in a group, together with several others, and has the potential to make a collective group.
Nicknamed The Pleaids, Krittika Nakshatra is represented by the symbol of Knife as it looks razor sharp and therefore also denotes concentration and focus upon something.
