Radha and Krishna are the perfect examples of love, care, respect and most importantly, camaraderie which ties them together and explains to the world why they are together and are also worshipped together.

It is believed that Radha and Krishna are not two different people. They are one person in the form of two entities. They were born as two different incarnations of Lord Vishnu to eliminate the demon, Kansa, who was making it difficult for the residents of the Earth to live upon and maintain their lifestyles. Thus, Lord Vishnu, the administrator of the Earth had to do something. He, therefore, created two forms of himself, one was Radha and the second was Krishna. He sent both of these on earth to create a Leela and not just eliminate the demon Kansa but also the demonic influences apart from Kansa. Due to these two being the same person's incarnation, they loved each other and cared for each other like their own. Also, being the same person, they couldn't marry each other even if they loved each other. So after the completion of their term on earth with each other and their Leela, they had to merge in one and return to Vaikunth Loka, the place of the Gods. Hence, Lord Krishna married Rukmini and Satyabhama to complete all of his Leela and merged in with Radha to become one and shower his love without being married. This confirms that Radha is the Jeevatma and Krishna was the Parmatma. This means that the purest form of love from Radha for Krishna will be the highest form of devotion. This leads to a very happy, healthy and satisfying relationship between them, personifying the Aatma Ka Parmatma Se Milan and showing everyone by merging onto one of how to love the other person selflessly. It is also said that Radha and Krishna could not marry each other because their marriage might lead to separation due to a curse upon Krishna's marriage by Shidhama. Krishna knew he will have to separate himself from his married partner, but the curse was not on love interest. So Krishna never married Radha but merged her into him before leaving this world to go to Vaikuntha Dham.
