On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, 01st March 2022, Rudraksha Hub conducted a Maharudrabhishek at a Kashi Khandokt temple, Prahladeshwar temple, Prahlad Ghat, Ganga Ghat, Varanasi (Kashi). We at Rudraksha Hub energized 108 malas of 5 Mukhi Rudraksha Beads along with 51 Kantha Malas of 5 Mukhi Rudraksha beads.
Mahashivratri is an occasion of Lord Shiva's marriage to Goddess Parvati. On this very day, he brought his Shiv Barat of all the Aughads, Shivdaanis, Sadhus, saints, priests, dead bodies and skeletons of the Shiva followers and Shiva clan. Lord Shiva is the Lord of life and death. He is the provider of Salvation and freedom from after-life soul threats. He is said to reside in the Shamshaan Ghat, the cremation ground. He is the Lord of the Kal or the Lord of Deaths. He considers the departed souls as his own and thus, he brought them to his Baraat also.
However, this takes a turn when Goddess Parvati's family could not understand the implications and his marriage took time to take place on the occasion of Holi.
The importance of Mahashivratri can be noted with the fact that there is one more story about why Rudrabhishek is done on Lord Shiva. The story goes in a manner that a very brave king, Bhagirath was a non-believer of God. He went on a tour of his kingdom and he insulted a Pooja that was going on on the way conducted by the peasants. They asked him to stay for the Pooja and take Pooja prasad before leaving. Bhagirath was in his temper and he choose to ignore the peasants. When one of the peasants tried to give him the Prasad, Bhagirath's rage and ego took over the better of him and he flung the Prasad in the air. He also threw the idol the people were worshipping because he did not want to admit that he was doing wrong. This created an apocalypse. All the 100 kids and loved ones of Bhagirath died. When Bhagirath came to know about this, he rushed back to his kingdom to find all his countrymen, court men, family men, kids, loved ones, advisors and everyone who was close to him from his cavalry to his infantry were dead. Bhagirath did not understand why this happened to him. He went to the peasant's back and asked them what he should do to correct everything. They all told him to worship Lord Brahma, who can handle everything like such. Bhagirath turned into a priest, took very small belongingness with him and went to a quiet place in the jungle to worship Lord Brahma. After many days, when Lord Brahma was pleased, he appeared in front of Rishi Bhagirath and granted him the wish of being able to provide a satisfactory exit to all the people on Earth. Lord Brahma said that he was not qualified to bring back all the dead people, but he can request Goddess Ganga, to flow in the lower regions of the Himalayas so that she can provide Salvation to her subjects and devotees.
It is believed that Goddess Ganga was in a fit of rage and temper and so she too had decided to take her revenge from her people. She accepted the orders to flow from Varanasi, but she started falling down with heavy force and unbeatable flow. This flow took with her the Earth alongside and this created a ruckus in the lives of the inhabitants of Earth. When Lord Brahma got to know about this, he ran to Lord Shiva again for the help. Lord Shiva couldn't find the best result of stopping the flow. He opened his hair locks (Jata) and he took the entire harsh flow of Ganga in his locks. Although this solved the issue of Ganga destroying the Earth, the main issue of Ganga being on the Earth and helping in the Salvation process was still incomplete. So on multiple requests, Lord Shiva let down a small streak of Ganga through his locks that became the Ganga river.
Lord Brahma thus made the announcement that whoever worships Lord Shiva with Ganja Jal and Rudrabhishek on any day, will be blessed with long life and Moksha from all the past life and present life sins.
We at Rudraksha Hub understand the sentiment of actual cultural feelings and thus, we have energized Rudraksha malas and Rudraksha beads for distribution amongst the people who have subscribed for the same.
While we are at it, we would like to bring focus on the fact that these malas are energized (Jaagrit) and not consecrated (Abhimantrit). The difference between Abhimantrit and Jaagrit is very simple. When the Rudraksha is worshipped at the feet of Lord Shiva but not with the name of a particular person, but in general with all Pooja processes, it is called Jaagrit. When the same thing is worshipped at the feet of Lord Shiva, with 1008 Jaap of Gayatri Mantra and Jaap of the mantra of the Rudraksha bead with the name and Gotra of the person it is done for, it becomes Abhimantrit. Anyone can wear a Jaagrit Rudraksha and mala but only the one in whose name the mala or bead has been made Abhimantrit can wear the mala or bead.
This mala is covered with Chandan, Bhasmi, Vibhooti, Kumkum, Kesar and Ashtagandha powder. These were offered to Lord Shiva and then to the malas in the image. The image shows spots of the same, which is for the sacred Pooja purpose.
Please do not ask if the mala is original or not. This is a matter of religious interest and religious domain. We are from Kashi (Varanasi). We exist because of Lord Shiva. We will never offer fake/ duplicate products to the Lord. We care for ourselves, and we care for our customers. We believe in the originality and truthfulness of ethics, even if in business. Happy shopping..!!
