Arjun ne ye bhi dekha ki na sirf parivaar wale apitu unke sasur, parivaar walo ke mitra, bandhu baandhav aivam kuch aise log jo dono me se kisi ki bhi taraf nahi the, wo bhi yudh bhoomi par khade the.

Arjun also noticed that not just immediate family but the extended family of immediate families, in-laws, and the immediate and extended families of the in-laws along with some common neutral people who were on neither side too were standing on the battlefield.
Meaning
In the previous Shlok, we saw how Arjun saw all his family members standing against him and then the ones who were standing with him. Arjun wanted to know why he was in such a devious situation and he felt that he needed to get out of this poisonous trap so he tried to make sure that everything that he feels is right is seemingly going wrong and he is just trapped in such a situation.
Arjun looked further in Shri Krishna’s direction and he saw that not just the previous list of grandfathers, fathers, father figures, grandfather figures, uncles, sons, sons of sons, son-like figures, students, teachers, and the likes, there was an addition of a few more names.
Arjun saw his son Abhimanyu and Bheem’s son Ghatotkatch standing ready to fight the bad Kauravas. He also saw that the brother to Abhimanyu and Ghatotkatch and Duryodhan’s son Lakshman was standing against them to fight and win.
Arjun then saw the friends of Duryodhan like Aswathama and others who were very closely related to the Kauravas as well as the Pandavas. It made no sense to Arjun why this war started as a war between two ideas and extended to a war between ego and the entire strongest kingdoms of the Tretayug era.
Arjun felt most ashamed when he saw that not just his but the entire kingdom’s families and family of family like in-laws, family of in-laws and their in-laws too were involved in the battle with names like Drupad and Shavya and the rest.
Arjun was not sure what to say or feel when he further saw that not just these but also the people like Satyaki, Kritvarma, and Suhrid were also in the battle zone who sided neutral and they were only there because someone close to them was in the battlefront supporting a side so they had to pick the respective sides as well and fight a battle that only had one end, mass destruction, and mass devastation.
Arjun just stood there for some time sinking in the expanse of the war that was to take place and syncing in the fact that he was one of the major reasons why some innocents are going to suffer.
Sanjaya used the word Kaunteyah to say that the son of Kunti, Arjun was standing on the battlefield, numb and clueless and useless because Arjun, who had no idea what was going on and what he will be doing to keep things under control, was supposed to be leading this battle and his most respected title of Brave was being replaced with the Son of Brave.
When anyone goes to war, the mother of that person is considered the bravest because they hold the heart to let the thought of separation forever sink inside them and yet they hold a brave front to let their child never be afraid. Kunti was considered very brave because her first son Karna was fighting for the Kauravas and her other five sons were fighting for the Pandavas. Not just that, the sons of those sons and their sons too were fighting for the Pandavas and thus, Kunti was considered very brave because she knew that she might lose everyone or someone ones and yet she held a strong face because she knew she had no other option.
So, Sanjaya referred to Arjun as not a brave person because he felt emotion-laden after seeing the real-time scene of the battlefield, and yet, Kunti was seeing everything from her palace and she had to sync in the feeling of seeing her people die while she cannot o anything even if she wanted as she was a woman and in ancient days, whatever happens, a lady was not allowed to go to the war zone or battlefield till her husband or son dies and she has to repent the same.
Conclusion
When Arjun saw the battlefield he realized that something that should have been managed with words led to the destruction of mankind and thus he was devastated and he realized that war is useless. This was the exact thing that everyone was trying to tell the Pandavas and Kauravas but there were a lot of differences that led to the situation of war standing on the battlefield, Arjun seemed to have been overburdened with emotions and he was on the verge of breaking down. So, avoid war before it is too late. Find a middle ground. Try to settle. Try to adjust. Make sure to give space to the other person. But avoid war in all circumstances until destruction is what you desire.
