What is a Boat Nail Ring?

As the name suggests, Boat Nail Ring is a ring made from the nail of the boat that floats in a river. This ring is supposed to make a shield around the wearer and remove the negative energies from their lives so that they are only full of positive energies and only attract positive ones.

In short, if you are having a terrible time and nothing is happening as per your choice, you should try wearing a Boat Nail Ring and you will be able to remove your life problems by a mile. How? Let’s know underneath.

Boat Nail Ring: The Story

We all know the story of Shani Maharaj, the God of Evil Eye, and the Planet of Ill Omen. Shani Maharaj is known as the God most dreaded by others. He was a deadly and scary God perceived to harbor ill intentions for many things.

If we read the Ganesha Puthe Ganesha Purana, we will see that Ganesha was a small newborn. All the Gods and Goddesses were very happy, so each of them tried to visit Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati to bless them and Lord Ganesha with a lot of positive words.

When Lord Shani was asked to join them, he denied saying that he could not see happy things without bringing tears of sorrow. This angered a lot of people and thus Shani had to accompany them to visit Lord Ganesha.

Now we all know that Goddess Parvati did not conceive Lord Ganesha. She went on a walk with Lord Shiva to see around the Earth and when she came back, she sent Lord Shiva to find something to cook while she could make the other arrangements. Since she needed someone to guard the home as there were no doors back then, she created a small idol from mud and put life into it. She called this child as Ganesha.

Little Ganesha was instructed to not let anyone inside so he was trying to follow his mother’s orders. When Lord Shiva came back, Ganesha didn’t recognize him, so he stopped him from entering the room. Shiva got angry and threatened Ganesha to either move or he will take action.

Ganesha being young and stubborn also decided to follow his mother’s actions. This had infuriated Lord Shiva beyond bounds.

By now, the news had spread in the entire God’s kingdom that Goddess Parvati had a son called Ganesha and he was very brave, bright and wonderful. So everyone came to see and bless Ganesha.

Shani Maharaj, who wasn’t much interested in meeting the newborn, also had to mark his presence. So he decided that he would not look at the child. He will only look somewhere else and say the blessings and wrap it up as fast as possible.

This plan however didn’t work and it is said that the moment Shani Dev looked at Lord Ganesha, it was the exact time when Lord Shiva also was angry and he decided to cut off Ganesha’s head and finish the drama for once and forever.

Thus, the flying head of a little child went flying off and when Parvati got to know this she wept fiercely. This made Lord Shiva take the help of Shani and discover an elephant, cut off his head, and place it upon Ganesha’s head to make the child breathe again.

This is how Shani Dev or Lord Shani is considered very difficult to manage and a person who can bring bad omens in good and healthy situations.

For people reading this, many stories have different versions and which give a different view to this, but if you feel that in your life something good was marked upon as poor, difficult, or bad due to circumstances not in your control, then you should give Boat Nail Ring a chance.

There is a possibility that you are facing the ill omen of Shani and bad eyes of negativity around you which is hampering your growth thus, wearing a Boat Nail Ring will either remove those issues from your life or at least give fight more negativity that could top up the pre-existing agony.

Boat Nail Ring: Why Ganga Nail Ring?

In India, we consider rivers as a form of our mothers who are feeding us with one of the most essential elements needed to survive, water. Now every river has its significance and it is believed that taking a dip in the holy waters of river Ganga or Ganges, as it is famously called, makes the person wash off all their previous life sins and this life sins by making them pure and clean.

Now, it is practically impossible for a person to take a dip in the river every day each time a person sins (knowingly or unknowingly). This is when having the Boat Nail Ring from River Ganga helps as now the person will have the touch of river Ganga with them forever. So not just the evil energies fought off, but also the Ganga River is trying to remove all signs of the person with just one thing, the Ganga Boat Nail Ring.

Boat Nail Ring: Why Iron Only?

So this is also a very interesting story. We all know that there are nine planets as per our astrological universe namely, Sun, Moon, Mars, Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, Rahu, Ketu, and Saturn. All these planets were in confusion and controversy as to which one of these was the most important and powerful. This fight was not getting a proper shape and thus, all the planets went to Lord Indra because he was considered the King of all Gods.

Indra knew that if he indulged here, he would be at a loss, so he decided that he would refrain from answering. But he had to say something, so he told the planets that he wasn’t equipped with that information or authority and thus the only person who has that power is King Vikramaditya, who is blessed with a feature that he always does justice even if it means his losses.

Even though the planets weren’t exactly happy, they had no other option and they went to King Vikramaditya. King Vikramaditya got nine thrones of nine metals made one for each planet and asked them to take the throne as per their ranks of appearance. Since the lowest cost metal was Iron and the last appearance was of Shani, Shani Dev got the Iron throne.

When he compared his throne with Gold, Silver, Copper, Brass, Bronze, and the rest, he felt really bad and insulted.

However King Vikramaditya tried his best to please everyone, Shani was angry and he decided to teach King Vikramaditya a lesson.

King Vikramaditya thereby lost everything slowly and he had to abandon everything and go to forests to hide and stay alive. He went through this for around 7 and a half years and that came to be known as Shani ki Saadhe Saati. One fine day when King Vikramaditya was asleep under a Peepal tree, he got a dream of Lord Shani telling him how to worship him for better fortune.

King Vikramaditya immediately arranged for the items somehow, arranged for worship, and prayed to Lord Shani to finish his agony. This pleased Lord Shani and slowly King Vikramaditya got back his wealth, empire, and family along with his repute and happiness.

This is why, Iron metal is considered associated with Shani and since Saturn is the ruling planet of Shani, so it is the ruling planet for Iron also. Thus wearing a ring made of a Boat Nail Ring from Ganga will make the person better and remove their agonies.

Why Boat Nail Only?

This again is a very interesting story. So as we saw in the previous paragraphs, Iron became associated with Shani and planet Saturn. We all also know that Shani rides in a chariot pulled by seven black horses. Thus, black is also considered a color of Shani or Saturn.

Now when King Vikramaditya had a dream to collect materials for worship, one requirement of the many was the nail of the horseshoe from a black horse. King Vikramaditya tried a lot but he could not find any black horse with a horseshoe in the jungle. He was desperate to find a way to get the nail from a black horse’s shoe.

In the meantime, King Vikramaditya found a boatman fishing at a distance in the jungle. When he asked the boat owner, he was told that there were a few black horses across the river and that the boatman used to bring them back and forth as needed. This was when an idea struck King Vikramaditya.

He pleaded with the boatman to get him one nail from the horseshoe of one of the black horses but since he had no money, the boatman refused and King Vikramaditya knew he would not be able to do the Pooja without the iron nail from the Black Horseshoe.

After this, King Vikramaditya saw that there was a small nail looking out of the boat head of the boatman’s boat. King Vikramaditya requested the boatman to kindly lend him that nail. His idea was that the boat had traveled with many black horses to and fro, so the nail of the boat also had an indirect touch with the horse’s shoe. And since it was extremely late in the evening, if he had not taken this nail and done the Pooja, he would not have been able to complete the Pooja and anger the Shani Dev even further.

Since he did not have any money to offer, he gave some grains of Black Lentil to the boatman in exchange for the used, worn-out nail from the boat. Happy with the barter, King Vikramaditya came back to his Pooja place and he worshipped Shani to get back his happiness in life.

This was when Shani Dev appeared in front of King Vikramaditya and told him that it was him in the disguise of a boatman and it was him who was happy with the barter idea of Black Lentils (Urad Daal) for Iron Nail. This is why it was established that anyone who worships Lord Shani on a Saturday evening under a Peepal tree or in front of Lord Hanuman with Black Lentils, Mustard Oil, Iron nails, and black cloth would get lifetime safety from evil eye and negative energies.

So, if you do not get the nail or horseshoe of a black horse, you can also take the nail from the front end of the used boat and get a ring made out of it to wear on your finger and prevent yourself from any form of issues in life.

Why Wear as a Ring Only?

Just like every planet has a number assigned to it, an order assigned to it, a day assigned to it, a color assigned to it, a gemstone assigned to it, a God assigned to it, a Rudraksha assigned to it, a disease assigned to it, a condition assigned to it, a food item assigned to it and a remedy assigned to it, similarly each planet also has body parts assigned to it.

The middle finger of the dominant hand works as the lucky finger for Shani and thus, if you have to make Shani pleased, wear an Iron ring, unheated, pure rot iron, hand beaten and from a used boat or the nail of a black horse’s shoe.

Ganga Boat Nail Ring: The Rudraksha Hub Process

Rudraksha Hub is a business based in Varanasi. This means we are located right at the banks of the river Ganga and we hold the luxury to obtain original, pure rot iron, used nails from old boats that float in the river Ganga.

Whenever there is an old boat or a used boat that has to come to the shore for redevelopment and repair, there is a lot of wood and nails that are removed from the boat. From this, the wood is used as a burning agent in the cold winters for the street animals, homeless, and many other purposes. The nails are sold to the iron factories to melt and make new nails from the iron.

We have a lot of contacts with the boat owners and repair workers and thus, they let us borrow the iron nails for a fee. We make sure to get the nails from the front of the boat separately and from the middle and back of the boat separately. We do this because a lot of people just want the boat nail ring but a lot of people want the boat nail ring made from the front of the boat nail only.

After procuring these nails, we take these nails to the blacksmith who first drowns these nails in water and then in oil. This helps in making maken rust on the nail a little easier to clean.

These nails are then scrubbed with sandpaper and after they are properly cleaned, they are pressed in a hydraulic press. This makes the nail flatten out and then metal cutting scissors are used to cut the nail into strips. Approximately 3-4 strips are cut from one nail.

All this is done by hand. The hydraulic press is also operated by hand, and no machine is involved. The metal cutting scissors are also operated by hand and no electric or battery saw is used.

After this, the strips are placed on a mold stick which has indents for various sizes. The right size for the ring is selected and the strip is kept at the indention of the desired size. Then the hammer is used to hammer the nail continuously till it takes the shape of a ring.

The entire strip is made to take the exact shape of the itendation and this way, the ring is made. The excess iron is chopped off from the edges and then the edges are rubbed again with sandpaper to make them less rough.

To avoid any type of possible cuts and irritations from the nail ring, we sand the edges pretty well. This makes the nail better to put on and there is a small space at the edge of the nail that can make it adjustable as per size if needed.

Why is the entire process handmade and unheated?

It’s a very interesting point. Majorly, Shani, or planet Saturn is a very hot-tempered in nature type planet. This means that everyone who has the Shani effect is privy to becoming the spotlight for the heat and temper of the ring.

So items that have the intensity to handle cold and remain cold without being heated but can gain heat are considered best for the offering to Shani or planet Saturn. This is why, iron, unheated, out from water has a cooling effect and can absorb a lot of heat thereby making the life of the wearer a little better and easing their Saadhe Saati time while it is still in progress.

Does Ganga Boat Nail Ring Work?

There are a lot of things that are considered superstitious. Some people believe in things and some people believe in theories. This is why if someone shares a story with you, chances are, that story has already happened and chances are, that story is completely fake.

So does the ring work or not? This can only be stated after the ring has been worn and put to the test by the people wearing it. A lot of people say that even though they didn’t heal overnight, slowly, they were able to become better in life with time. Some people even admitted that when they do not wear their Boat Nail Ring, they feel anxious or dubious about everything.

This can be considered as hearsay for a lot of people until they try it themselves and then either feel the change or be sure that they have a better opinion about the Boat Nail Ring not working.

It is safe to say that a lot of religious and spiritual products have a placebo effect and this is exactly why the outcome is not 100% guaranteed or justified. It depends on the person’s capacity to handle the logic and belief together and work in the direction to achieve their goals better.

It is sometimes okay to believe that maybe the boat nail ring will not work for a person or that it might not give the effect it was earlier giving. This is because it is not necessary that everybody is the same and the effect on every person too will be the same. So does that mean the Nail is not useful? Debatable. Why? Even if it is not working for some people, it is working as a ray of hope for a lot of others who feel that since the nail is with them, they can achieve greater heights and there will be no one who can curb their growth or stop them from reaching where they wanted to in the first place.

A lot of times this ray of hope is more than anything to achieve the desired result and these are the people who might end up giving credit to the boat nail ring for being their support, aid, and guide. The important thing is to know that if you want to work towards your betterment then even if the planetary positions are marginally or totally against you, you will gain a fighting spirit with these rings and nails and other religious and spiritual aids thereby giving you a strong reason to make sure why you should not quit when the victory was almost at your doorstep.
